A second phase of development at Delma Port in Abu Dhabi has been completed, expanding, and enhancing one of the region’s leading multi-purpose ports.  The investment that has been made extends the port’s ability to meet the needs of the local and regional recreational, fishing and commercial maritime sectors. In particular the project will facilitate the movement of landing craft vessels, passenger ferries, pleasure boats and fishing boats through Delma.

A key focus of the second phase of the development was the construction of a dedicated 315m quay wall. Capable of accommodating up to 60 boats, the expansion project will allow the region’s recreational and commercial vessels to transfer and relocate from the old Delma Port to the new port. In addition, a new breakwater has been constructed to protect the northern part of the harbour while dredging has increased water depth to 6m to accommodate larger vessels.
